Much to be thankful for

Sometimes the Lord has to teach you to let go. I am in the middle of learning that right now. So much of life we think we can control but in reality it is the Lord blessing us with our hearts desires. The Lord is showing me that closing doors or different directions are also under His control. Matthew and I have been blessed this last month. No, things aren't going like we had planned, but the situation is in the Lord's hands and we can be at peace knowing that whether good or bad, the Lord will take care of us. This is what I mean by letting go. We are in a place of no control right now and instead of being afraid and doubtful of our Lord, we are learning to trust in Him and be excited for what the future holds.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow. What a wonderful time it is to gather with friends and family and celebrate all the Lord has done for us!!! A tradition in our family involves listing five specific things we are thankful for over the past year. Sometimes it is really easy for me to think of five specific things, and at other times it takes me a while. This year I was overwhelmed with thoughts of how good the Lord has been to me. I pray that each one of you will find time today or tomorrow to think about what the Lord has done for you this past year and thank Him for it.

Sticky Situation

I have noticed something new about myself within the last couple weeks. I HATE having my hands sticky. It all started a couple weeks ago on my bi-monthly grocery shopping trip. I pulled out a can of frozen apple juice. This can had leaked and now the sticky mess was all over my hands. I thought I would be ok until I got home to wash it off, but as I was finishing my shopping I started to get more and more anxious and annoyed. I ran my cart up to the shortest line and quickly bagged all my groceries and then asked where the nearest bathroom was. I had the check out guy watch my cart. I literally ran to the bathroom to wash my hands.

OK, now fast forward to a couple days ago. I am cleaning out my car and happened to grab a sticky wrapper. I had to immediately run to the sink and wash my hands. Funny how I never noticed this about myself before.

Is there anything you can't stand or something that drives you crazy?

Little "T"

Sorry for taking so long to post. We have been having camera challenges.

Tonight I went and spent some much needed time with my little sis. I laugh
whenever I say little because she has always been taller than me. I guess that
isn't possible. Taller ever since I can remember.We ate chocolate chip cookies,
played Pass-the-pigs and Yatzee and just chatted the evening away. We are both
full time students so finding time to be together can be a challenge. Thanks sis
for making time tonight. I had a great time! This is our non-professional photo shoot. Turned out pretty darn good if you ask me. My wonderful husband was behind the camera.
Yes, this was the first time I met my "little" Tonya. She was pretty cute
for a while until she started pulling my hair. Mom had to cut my beautiful long hair to keep it out of her reach. I loved to help my Mom take care of baby Tonya. I got to help bottle feed and keep her entertained :-).
My sister had what was affectionately called "the look." If she didn't know you or like you, you got this look. Of course she liked me and so I mainly got all smiles. As you can also see I've been practicing my smiling skill for a long, long time.
We grew up going to Fir Point Farms Pumpkin Patch. This was taken the last time we were there as a family about 5 or 6 years ago.
My sister's senior prom night. Doesn't she look pretty and don't I look like a proud big sis.
One of my most memorable moments in life. My sister was my Maid-of- Honor at our wedding. So blessed to have you in my life little sister. I love you and pray the Lords blessings upon you.
