Weekend at the Coast, Sept 25-26

Well we decided back in June that since our summer was going to be so busy, we needed to plan a weekend to getaway and go camping. So last Saturday we headed down to Nehalem Bay State Park on the beautiful Oregon coast. Saturday started out totally sunny and wonderful. After we ate lunch in Manzanita the clouds started to role on in but the weather was still nice and warm. Early Sunday morning the rain hit and it hit hard. We were so glad to be camping in our little trailer. The tent campers around us left pretty darn early. We, being true Oregonians, had our waterproof gear and headed to the beach with Ginger dog. Not a soul in sight. Ginger LOVES, LOVES, LOVES the beach and so we just let her roam off leash to her little hearts content. Around 9:30 we decided to head on home. It was a nice weekend and we were glad to get away.

Guns and Fishing, August 2010

Back in August I got the chance to go shooting with my cousin Sean. We went to a gravel pit out near Estacada, OR. I had a great time and can't wait to do it again!!!

We shot about 6 riffles and 5 handguns

I really enjoy fishing and my Father-in-law took me out this summer for some ocean Salmon fishing. We also went with some good family friends. Dale and Mark. This first picture is my salmon which they decided to let me kill. Well, unfortunately I kept hitting it in the gills instead of the head. As you can see, I left a bloody mess.

Mark has the pole and we are all standing around hoping he brings one in!!!

Our catch. Not to brag or anything, but my fish was the biggest!!!

Dariano's and Detroit Lake

Our wonderful friends, the Dariano's, came to the Detroit Lake house back in July. We had a blast just relaxing, playing games, going on the boat, playing in the water and of course, eating good food :-).Here are a few pictures from the weekend.
