Loving on Julie Ann Dariano

Yesterday morning our good friends Joe and Michele welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world. She is such a cutie pie and Matthew and I both think she looks a lot like her momma. We were able to go for a visit and snuggle this precious little one. We are so excited for both Joe and Michele and thankful to God that He has blessed them with a healthy baby GIRL!!!!

These last few weeks we have been remodeling our main bathroom. Here are some photos of what it looks like now. We aren't completely done. The molding still needs to be nailed to the wall and paint touched up, but for the most part it is done!!!

What the Gault's did for fun on Saturday

Some of you might not know that we heat our house with wood heat. Yes, we have a furnace, but it is old and not very efficient. Our first big purchase as a married couple was a wood stove insert. I (Rachel), grew up with a wood stove and really like having a fire :-). So Saturday we spend the whole day stocking our wood pile. Thanks to my Dad, we have free wood for the most part. Here are some pics from our wood hauling day.

The wood pile before we started. One row about half way high.

My Dads truck filled with two boxes of wood

The trailer filled with three boxes of wood. We ended up cutting and stacking seven boxes of wood Saturday.

Dads truck after we were done :-). It looked like the Klampet's move to Hollywood.

Fun times

Chuck and Sandi came over to help for a while

The wood pile after. We now have two and a half rows of wood. Five more boxes of wood left to cut and stack.

Bath Remodel Part 2

Friday night we started cutting and tiling the floor. We finished this part of the remodel on Sunday afternoon. The floor looks awesome!!! The next step is grouting the floor and sealing the grout. Then we can put everything together. I won't post until we have the finished product.

Yes, Matthew isn't the only one working on this project :-)

Bathroom Remodel

On Friday night Matthew and I started demolition on our main bathroom. There was some water damage in the floor around the toilet and it was time to tear things up and fix the problem. These first two pictures are of the bathroom before the remodel.

This is a lovely picture of the plastic molding around the room and the nice caulking job.

Me taking apart the sink. I ended up taking out the sink, vanity, toilet and some of the floor before Matthew got home. I felt very accomplished :-)

Next up is tiling the floor and having our bath resurfaced. Then the rest will come together pretty easily (knock on wood).

I AM A NURSE!!!!!!

Last Tuesday (Sept,1) I took the dreaded NCLEX exam to get my nursing license. Well praise the Lord, I passed and now I am officially Nurse Gault. I do have a job lined up at Legacy Meridian Park hospital as a Operating room nurse. Because of all the paper work needing to be done on my behalf there, it looks like I won't be starting for another couple weeks. This means I can get a lot of house projects done and also read some books for the fun of it!!!

Here is the computer screen showing that I passed. Yes, I ran around the house screaming and crying. At least I was alone in my rantings :-)

The beautiful sunset the night before I took the NCLEX. My mom and I stayed in Grants Pass with some wonderful friends!! Thanks Martha and Doris for letting us stay with you.

Sitting in the car with my Authorization to test letter.

Walking into the testing center. My heart was racing at this point, but when I stepped inside I had a wonderful peace from the Lord. Thank you to everyone who prayed for me.

The Haushalters come to visit

A couple weeks ago, our good friends Jon, Katie and their adorable little guy come down from Seattle for a visit. It was good to see them and of course, I love holding and snuggling this cutie pie. Thanks for the fun time Jon and Katie!!!
