Matthew took Thursday and Friday off of work to bum around with me. On Friday we stayed in town and headed into Downtown Portland for lunch at the Western Culinary Institute Restaurant bleu. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it. Five course meal for 15 dollars. This picture is Matthew looking very excited for our dinner.
First course- Smoked Salmon Chowder

Second Course- Beaf Tenderloin on a mound of polenta with a mushroom, peppercorn gravy

Third Course- I got this spinach salad

Matthew ordered the Beet salad

For dessert we both ordered the orange cream stuffed phyllo dough with chocolate glaze

After lunch we headed over to the Chinese Gardens

We stopped by the Tea House when we were finished and ordered some tea.

It had been a wonderful spring break. I have been able to relax and enjoy my time off. I have posted a lot of photos so make sure you keep clicking older post until you see them all!!!

Spring Break Part 2

I don't normally indulge my coffee cravings but we made a stop by Dutch Bros. on the way to Cannon Beach. I really like their Almond Joy Mocha. Yummy :-).

We went to Dooger's for dinner and we were not disappointed. Matthew ordered the steamer clams and I got salmon. Here is Matthew with the leftover clam remains. The guy loves seafood.

Spring Break Part 1

So this is my last spring break of all time (for me anyway) . I have been doing a lot of things these past few weeks. Here is a list:
~Sleeping in until 8am
~Reading books for fun
~Cleaning house
~Working on house projects
~Completing sewing projects
~Spending much needed time with family and friends
~Attending Wednesday night Bible Study again
~Day trips to the Oregon Coast and Downtown Portland
This is a picture of one of my sewing projects. I have wanted to sew a spring inspired table runner. I received a JoAnn's Fabrics gift card for Christmas and spent some of it to buy fabric for this project. I also got to use my new sewing machine which I also received for Christmas.

I LOVE to read and being in nursing school does not give me any time to do this. All of my recent readings involve nursing research, etc..... What fun it was to sit and the couch and read for the fun of it!!!!

Evie's Bridal Shower

My lovely cousin Evie is getting married on June 14th. The family gave her a bridal shower a couple weeks ago. We are so excited for her and really like the man she is getting hitched too!!!
