Decorating for Christmas

Gotta say I just love this time of year! Celebrating the Lords birth and all the fun things that go along with Christmas time. Today was December 1st and the boys and I decorated the house up for Christmas. I got a Door Buster Black Friday deal on an awesome artificial Christmas tree. We have been talking about getting one for a few years now. We love real trees but both suffer from allergies whenever we have the tree in our house. Plus the messy needles and sap on the floor was getting kinda annoying. Isaac was super into decorating this year. Our day 1 activity for our Advent Calendar was decorating the tree. Austin was pretty enthralled as well. We got the Christmas music blaring and just went to town :-). I also have been collecting children's Christmas books. We now have 25 of them and I wrap each one up and let the boys open one or two a day. They love it and look forward to the new book they get to read each day!

 

Thanksgiving Day

Hosted Thanksgiving at our house for the first time this year. So much fun to have my parents and sister and brother-in-law over for most of the day. The food was great and the fun time as a family will be memories to last a lifetime!

Austin's first hair cut

The mullet was starting to become obvious the last month or so. The boy was rocking some pretty cute curls in the back thought that I wanted to enjoy for a bit longer :-). Yesterday I decided to pull the plug and get the clippers out. He did a great job letting me cut the majority of his hair with the clippers and luckily I only had to use the scissors around his ears. He definitely looks a bit older now but still has those baby cheeks for his momma to kiss :-)

Harvest Party 2014

We headed up to Wilsonville on Halloween night to attend a Harvest Party. The boys had a blast and it was so fun getting to see friends we haven't seen in a while. Isaac was dressed up as a "Happy" bird and Austin got to wear his big brothers hand me down Tiger costume. They were both super cute and it was fun seeing them run around with all the other cute kids dressed up that night!

Our baby is 1!!!

Not quite sure I can handle how fast the time is flying by these days. One moment I am excitedly awaiting the arrival of our baby Austin and the next thing I know he is turning 1! Really trying to slow life down a bit and enjoy these precious moments when my boys are small.
