Stacey's Baby Shower

My dear friend Stacey is set to have a baby in the next six weeks!!!! The baby's sex is a surprise (I just love surprises) and we can't wait to meet this little person. My friend Hannah and I threw a baby shower for Stacey on Saturday. She got a bunch of great stuff for the baby and the baby's room. Thanks for having a baby my friend :-).

Fun times with the Marsons

Our good friends, Jon and Stacey came over the other night for dinner and games. We almost always play Settler's of Catan (Cities and Knights version) and this time was no exception.

Matthew went shopping with me and found a beef rib roast for less than three dollars a pound. He cooked it up in the oven and let me tell you, it was SOOOO yummy!!! We also had mashed potatoes, gravy and a great salad. I took a picture of it but the photo didn't turn out to appetizing looking so I left it out. It was one great dinner and we enjoyed sharing it with our friends!

Stacey was the grand winner of our Settler game. Excellent job my friend!!! At least one of us girls won. It is usually one of our husband's who win.

Ringing in the New Year

2009 is finally here! Another year to be about the Lord's work. Last night the pastor of our church had a special Bible Study which focused on Bible Prophecy. If you have never heard of Bible Prophecy it is truly fascinating and a excellent thing to study. One-fourth of the Bible is Prophecy. According to Bible Prophecy and all the Prophecy which has been fulfilled so far, we are definitely living in the "Last Days" as the Bible calls it. This is exciting to me as I think about the future. It also really encourages me to be living my life for Christ and not for myself. Now is not a time to be selfish but to be loving others the way Christ calls us to do.

After Bible Study last night, our really good friends Jon and Laura (their getting married in Aug!!!) came over to chat, play games and ring in the new year with us. We busted out the Sparkling Cider and ate yummy pound cake and chocolate, hazelnut brownies.

Laura and I stated that at midnight you are suppose to kiss your significant someone. The guys had never heard this before, but they were all down with the kissing :-).
